Seibukan kihon renshū
Seibukan basic training exercises

Kihon renshū is a series of exercises created by Shimabukuro Zenryō 島袋善良 and Shimabukuro Zenpō 島袋善保 to form the karate body, in accordance with the direction of Kyan Chōtoku 喜屋武 朝徳 to “first learn the forms and movements of karate.” It develops the strength and flexibility required for good karate technique, and its daily or regular practice is the core of Seibukan pedagogy.
